The Story · 01

Meet Javad

I grew up with a pencil in my hand.

Long before branding became my profession, drawing was how I understood the world. I trained my eye across every medium I could reach, and without knowing it, I was learning the craft that would define my career: composition, storytelling, and the art of holding someone's attention long enough to make them feel something true.

One promise, made in 1997

In 1997, I took that craft and founded Alive ProStudios in Toronto. We started as a creative studio, helping small and medium-sized businesses bring their branding and marketing to life, and I made one promise to every client who trusted us: whatever I promise, I will deliver, and then some.

That promise shaped everything that followed.

How solving problems built my range

We never grew by chasing new services. We grew because I could not bring myself to send a client elsewhere when something needed solving.

When a client needed product photography, we mastered photography. When clients needed content, we learned to create content that converts. And as their businesses grew, some of them outgrew their own brands, which drew us deep into strategy: repositioning them, rebuilding them, and pointing them toward markets they could lead.

Service by service, need by need, the practice became comprehensive, because our clients' real problems demanded it. That is the true origin of my range. I earned it by solving problems, not by assembling a list to look complete.

Why my first clients are still my clients

Ask the people I work with why they stayed, and you will hear three answers, always in the same order.

They could trust us completely, because the work would be done, and done right, without anyone having to watch over it. We went above and beyond on every deliverable, as a habit rather than an occasion. And we were quietly obsessed with delivering more than we promised.

When someone receives that kind of value year after year, the question answers itself: why would they go anywhere else? Somewhere along the way, those relationships stopped being client and agency, and became friendship and partnership. It usually takes a new client one project to see how I work. After that, they tend to stay for life.

One partner, responsible for the whole building

My longest-standing clients describe my role with the same picture. When you set out to raise a forty-storey building, you need an architect to design it, a builder with the competence to construct it on the right foundation, and one accountable partner who hands over a building that works as a single living ecosystem, exactly as it was planned.

That is what I am hired to be. Not a vendor for one floor, but the one responsible for the whole building, and for how proudly it stands decades later.

Homayra, my dream partner

None of what you have read stands without Homayra Ahmadi. She joined me in 1998 as Co-Founder and Operations Director, and she has carried half of every promise since: our senior developer, and the one who runs the company itself, from operations and accounting to client communication and the key accounts our longest partnerships depend on. She is also my wife. People sometimes ask what it takes to keep your word for nearly three decades, and my answer is simple: a partner whose dedication exceeds your own. Without her support I would not be where I am, or who I am. At the studio they call me the founder. After all, she is the real boss.

Nearly three decades, told plainly

Twenty-nine years on, the record reads simply: more than four hundred organizations across Canada, the United States, Germany, and the Middle East. Roughly seven in ten of my clients have been with me sixteen years or longer, and some have been here since my first year in business. Along the way came recognition, including MetalFX Design Agency of the Year, but the retention is the only award I quote.

A brand promise is a debt

My belief has not changed since day one. A brand promise is a debt, and the builder is responsible for paying it. I promise only what I can build. Then I build more.

If that sounds like the partner you have been looking for, I would be glad to meet you.
