Why I sign my work, and what it costs me to do it.
Nobody in my industry signs their work
Look at the last piece of marketing that crossed your desk and try to find a name on it. Not a company name, a person's name. You will not find one.
Branding today is produced by committees, delivered by rotating account teams, and increasingly generated by machines. The anonymity is not an accident; it is a convenience. Work that nobody signs is work that nobody has to answer for. Every unsigned brand carries a quiet escape hatch, and everyone in my industry knows exactly where it is.
A signature is not a promise. It is a discipline.
I sign my work for a reason most people do not expect. The mark is not there to impress you. It is there to bind me.
The moment my name goes on your brand, my options disappear, and I designed it that way. A promise tells you what I intend to do. A signature removes my ability to do anything less. That is the difference, and it is the entire meaning of the mark.
What I can no longer do once my name is on your brand
I can no longer hand you to a B-team, because there is none. Every client works with me, and a single deliverable receives the same attention as a complete brand experience.
I can no longer ship "good enough," because the mark does not go on good enough. Whatever leaves my hands is finished pixel perfect and reasoned to serve your strategy, down to the smallest decision.
And I can no longer disappear after launch, because a signed brand is backed for as long as it lives. What other firms sell as premium service, the signature makes non-negotiable.
An unsigned brand has an excuse built into it. A signed one does not.

What the signature carries that no invoice can
The invoice lists what you commission: the strategy, the identity, the creative, the content, the systems. It has never listed the rest.
Candid counsel on decisions far bigger than marketing. A watchful eye that improves your brand before you ask. A team that grows more unified because its brand finally feels true. Every dollar you spend treated as if it were my own. And access to me, whatever the hour, whatever the time zone.
None of it is billable. All of it is included. The invoice lists what I make. The signature covers what I am.
The mark cannot be bought. It can only be built.
There is no price that puts this mark on work I did not build. The only way a brand carries it, whether that brand is a company, a product, a service, or a person, is to be built by me, through the same hands and against the same standard as everything that has ever carried it.
It took me nearly three decades to afford this signature, because a signature is only worth what its owner stands to lose. I stake a lifetime of work on every brand that carries it. That is the exclusivity of the mark: not who it is reserved for, but what it took to exist.
When you see the mark, read it as one sentence
A named person built this, holds it to one standard, and answers for it for as long as it lives.
